What you can expect when you work with us
Our founder, Steve, has been a Building Services specialist his whole career, 40 years and counting. He started out engineering building services for the BBC, then worked for engineering consultancies in the UK, the Middle East, and New Zealand, before founding his own firm. It’s from him we get our deep experience in healthcare and universities.
Steve is supported by Mechanical Building Services Engineer Rob, Mechanical Engineer Kee, Senior Electrical Engineer Aaron, and Electrical Engineer Jonas.
A sustainable, whole system approach
Sustainable building services have been central to Steve’s work since the early nineties. His passion for sustainable design was ignited by working with visionary engineer Patrick Bellew, founder of environmental design consultancy Atelier 10.
Patrick advocates for an integrated approach to the design of buildings because, like the human body, everything’s connected. For this reason, when all consultants and contractors on a project work together, it results in better outcomes for everybody.

The way we work is encapsulated in our name Honoris, which was suggested by Steve’s kids, and means to work with honour and integrity.
Our environmental commitment
Walking the talk matters, so we’re committed to minimising our own environmental impact:
- Our office power supply is with Ecotricity which guarantees 100% sustainably sourced power.
- Steve has had solar panels installed at his home, these supply a large proportion of the power and we are monitoring the impact on energy usage. We’ll share this journey, and what we learn along the way.
- We use electric vehicles so we’re not burning fossil fuel when we visit your site.
These are just the first steps on our journey to greater sustainability.
